Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 v2

I know RC Helis are becoming more and more popular. And many like Arthur who have mastered flying RC Planes and moved over to take on flying rc helicopters - no mean feat I might add!!
I had a chat with Arthur down at our local club, and was quite surprised he had only been flying RC Helis for about 12 months. From what I saw, he looked pretty good!!
His model is a Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 v2, with the standard Thunder Tiger 50 engine, a Futaba 401 gyro and Hitech digital servos, complete with the JR 9x radio that was converted to 2.4ghz.

Hot Doggin' Rc Helicopter

It's absolutely incredible the amount of skill some guys can acquire in our hobby... No matter how long you've been involved, it's always a pleasure to enjoy just how good some blokes are.

I took this video a while ago, and probably didn't do it justice, but you can get an idea of how an rc helicopter can get thrown around the sky hot dog style. I didn't get all the details about the type of heli he flew, but it's a good display of what this Nitro heli could do!

Thunder Tiger P40 Warhawk - First Flight!

If you've been out to the flying field lately or even your local park for that matter, then no doubt you've started to see the increase in number of small RC Electric airplanes. The combination of brushless motors and Lithium polymer batteries has lead to a bit of a boom in new Electric park flyer models popping up.

Align TREX 450

Graeme has a long and distinguished history in flying RC planes. Way back when, he even taught himself how to fly, and has also designed a number of his own RC aircraft. But not satisfied with that, he decided to embark on a new challenge..... to learn how to fly an RC Helicopter...

With many hours on the flight simulator, and his Align TREX 450 I think he has done extremely well in the 4 months of his RC Helicopter flying experience. Check out the video below.

YAK 54 with 50cc Engine

When I saw Vaughn bring out his YAK 54, I thought "Here's something Special". It surely is a very nice model. Have a look at the video.
I didn't get who the designer of the model was, but Vaughn seemed quite impressed with the overall build and flight characterstics of it.

Katana 70" with Moki 1.80

This is Johns 70" Katana, which looked a real delight in the air and seemed to handle aerobatic maneuveres with ease. The landing was impressive, and very slow. But I guess this is a credit to Johns flying ability. I didn't get the name of the maker of his Katana, but there seems to be a number of manufacturers producing this model in a range of sizes.

Hanger 9 Spitfire Mk II 60 ARF

Savex L39 Electric Ducted Fan

The Savex L- 39 is an all molded scale model of famous Czechoslovak jet trainer, which was used by many airforce all over the world.
It's a great looking high quality ARF jet, that's ready for either a turbine or EDF. This particular model owned by Theo was kitted out with an Electric Ducted Fan.

Running in the OS 120 in my Cessna 182 Skylane

Running in OS 120FSThe engine I am using in my Cessna is an OS 120 E Surpass. This is the basic or entry level in the 120 FS range. I bought this engine like 12 years ago, planning for it to go into a PICA 1/5 Spitfire... But after I realised that it wouldn't have enough power for that, it basically sat there in the box all this time until I mounted it in the Cessna.

Top Flight Cessna 182 Skylane Gold Edition

I can't believe I have finished the painting of my Top flight cessna!

I actually bought this model already built up. The only thing was, that the fuselage was already painted, while the wing, control surfaces, wheel pants etc were not.

When I first saw this model at Rod's shop, I couldn't believe the finish of the paint work. The paint job was a work of art!!. Now understand that this was a kit plane
